How To Edit Your Transcript

So, like most anything, sometimes our transcription service will make a little mistake. It tends to happen with proper nouns, and hard-to-hear speakers. Have no fear though, cause editing your transcript is easy.




First, lets open up a clip in the browser editor. The first thing you want to do is go into text-editing mode, and that is done by simply clicking our text-edit slider below the preview window. You can also click the expand button next to it to get a better look at your timeline.

Next, comb through your transcript and keep an eye out for any misspelled words. To fix a mistake is just like fixing a mistake in a word processor - click the word and adjust it accordingly.




If you have a word that is consistently misspelled in your transcript, look to the top of your clip, and you’ll see a search bar function. there, you can search the misspelling and replace the highlighted words without the other segments bogging down the transcript.
