Importing clips from DaVinci Resolve (macOS)

Install the Storylines extension for Resolve:

Download Python 3.10.8 and install it, especially if you are on Monterrey or newer operating systems
NOTE:
a. macOS Monterrey and subsequent OSes no longer included Python. You need to install Python to run the scripts in the Simon Says extension.
b. Please use this version of Python; other versions of Python will not work.

Download the scripts for the Storylines extension

Place the scripts here on your computer:
‍/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Scripts/Edit/Storylines

Download and install the Storylines Uploader app

How to send clips from Resolve to Storylines:

Open the Storylines Uploader macOS app (found in your Applications folder). This Uploader app works in conjunction to the Storylines extension/scripts in Resolve and together they send your Resolve clips to Storylines along with key metadata.

Select the clips you want to send to Storylines from the bin in Resolve

Go to the menu "Workspace," choose "Scripts / Storylines / Send clips to Storylines"

This will index the clips in your Resolve bin and send it to the Storylines Uploader macOS app

Go to the Storylines website to see your clips transcribed and start cutting the rough cut together.
